I give out cash to the workers around the Haram and some who may ask for it. To get small notes it is best to go to the banks - there are many branches around the Haram- if you tell them it is for charity they usually oblige. I would recommend 5 riyal notes. The money change places will not do this for you. The banks in Madinah are more obliging compared to Makkah. So try and get your small notes in Madinah
